WEDNESDAY

We want you to experience the city but we also want you to see it’s surrounds. Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island are two of the most incredible yet barely touched spots in Australia.

We will be having some much needed BEACH time, we'll be WINE tasting, heading to spectacular SCENIC lookouts and to finish off we'll be watching over 500 PENGUINS running across the beach, yes you read that right!

THURSDAY

Australia is known for its famous SURF and this is the day that you'll complete another Australian must do as you learn how to ride a wave. This day includes a few a few hidden secrets along the way but the main thing you need to know? You will get the chance to get up close to KOALAS and KANGAROO. Another bucket list item ticked, two in one day!

FRIDAY

Melbourne has many celebrated suburbs and St Kilda is as famous as they get.

We’ll head to this quaint beach suburb taking in its iconic promenade, alfresco cafes and famous landmarks. The afternoon will be spent lazing on the beach and paddle boarding (included!).
*In winter this day will be replaced with a different itinerary.

SATURDAY

Do you want to go in to work or do you want to travel? Either way we will get you organised! Saturday is the perfect time to look at everything you will need after your first week in Australia. Every single traveller will have their own one-on-one meeting meaning the perfect personalised plan can be made.

What do we need after that? To join Melbourne’s biggest bar crawl of course.

SUNDAY

What better way to spend our final Sunday afternoon together than lazing on a rooftop overlooking the city with your new travel family? We’ll crank up the BBQ, and  talk about memories made on the best week of your life.

On this 2-day tour from Melbourne, enjoy the gourmet delights of the Macedon Ranges, where wonderful landscapes, experiences, and characters provide an interesting journey through an emerging tourism hotspot. Over the two days, a local guide takes you to a working organic farm in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges, Hanging Rock Winery, and Kyneton, with an overnight stay at the Lake House, one of the acclaimed Luxury Lodges of Australia. Meals are included.

Day 1: Melbourne – Daylesford (L, D)

Travel north from Melbourne to begin your 2-day tour with a visit to a working organic farm in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges. Then stop by the memorial cross on top of Mt. Macedon for a bird’s-eye view of the region.

Continue to Hanging Rock Winery to sample its award-winning wines in the vineyard, with its views of Hanging Rock and Mt. Macedon. Next, drive to the historic town of Kyneton to stroll through the Piper Street food precinct, and enjoy lunch arranged for you at the only Chefs Hat restaurant in Kyneton, started by prominent local chef Annie Smithers.

After lunch, head to the town of Daylesford, known for its mineral waters, artisan food producers, fine dining, boutique shops, and gold rush architecture. You'll visit Herbal Lore, known for its herbal liquors, herbal chocolates, and liquor fruits; a generous sampling of the product range, along with an entertaining explanation of its creation and manufacture, is provided for you.

Your stay in Daylesford this evening is at the Lake House, part of the Luxury Lodges of Australia group. This property has become a popular destination for dining experiences. You have time in the afternoon to enjoy your surroundings, relax, or pamper yourself with a spa treatment or massage (own expense). Your stay includes a waterfront room, 3-course dinner at the Chefs Hat–awarded restaurant Alla Wolf-Tasker, and a full country breakfast.

Day 2: Daylesford – Melbourne (B, L)

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast, you'll be picked up and taken to O’Toole's Honey to talk to local Des O’Toole and sample some of his honey. Then take a short drive to the nearby hamlet of Musk, where you'll visit the acclaimed vineyard of Passing Clouds for a tasting of its wines followed by a visit to Istra, a family-owned company producing cured meats and small goods known for their quality and flavor.

Also in Musk, visit the Daylesford Cidery, the product of years of hard work by its owners who have planted more than 1,500 varieties of vintage apple trees. You will be shown around the vast orchard and offered tastings of the cider.

Your lunch stop is Trentham, where you have time to stroll through town, filling your bag with local produce before lunch. You'll also visit Red Beard Bakery, known for its organic sourdough bread and use of original Scotch ovens. After Trentham, drive a short distance to Blackwood to visit the Garden of St. Erth, where you can wander through the secluded, tranquil gardens or explore the Diggers shop before starting the return drive to Melbourne with your guide. Your tour ends when you arrive back in the city.

Join a micro-group of just 8 guests for a relaxing, rewarding and stimulating tour full of scenic diversity. Our 3-day Great Ocean Road tour is perfectly split between beach and mountains. You'll spend the first day and a half on the Great Ocean Road before travelling north into the mountains. It is almost like two separate tours as both regions command your full attention. The Great Ocean Road has different scenery around every corner and is full of life and movement. The Grampians is calmer and more quiet and offers some incredible viewing and walking experiences as well as being very rich in Aboriginal culture and rock art. The aim is to provide our micro groups with compelling but relaxed itineraries matched with unique and wonderful accommodation and dining experiences. Your guide will bring the tales of shipwrecks and explorers to life by the help of original artefacts from Loch Ard. Stay in ocean and mountain view villas and enjoy dinner at award winning restaurants.

Travel to Geelong before starting the journey along the Great Ocean Road at Torquay, stopping at various places along the coast including Bells Beach and a scenic morning tea location. The focus then turns to Australian native wildlife as you stop to observe kangaroos in the wild. The journey then begins traveling the very scenic, cliff-hugging section of the Great Ocean Road. While winding along stops will be made to view sites such as the ‘Memorial Arch’ and your guide will share the story of this incredible road.

After your lunch stop in Lorne, you take in the many scenic spots, including Kennett River where you can see koalas and many colorful native birds in the wild. In the Great Otway National Park, take on a 1-kilometer guided walk through a cool temperate rain forest to see the world’s tallest flowering plants.

Your private self contained villa at Beacon Point Ocean View Villas is set high on a hill overlooking the Southern Ocean. Dinner tonight is at the famous ‘Chris’ at Beacon Point’.

After breakfast in Apollo Bay your journey starts with traveling through the Otway ranges to Castle Cove overlooking the Aire River valley.

The 12 Apostles are Icons of Australia’s natural beauty. You'll arrive as the stacks are lit with the morning sun making them perfect for photos and crowd free. After hearing of the creation of the stacks and holding some of the limestone rock you can explore this magical place. You'll then visit ‘Loch Ard Gorge’, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck. While hearing the tale you will be able to see and hold some original artifacts, photos and documents from the ‘Loch Ard’. Port Campbell is your lunch stop.

After lunch, travel to a lesser known but highly impressive area of the coastline west of Port Campbell including London Bridge, Bay of Islands and Bay of Martyrs. The journey then continues through to Tower Hill Game Reserve for the chance to see koalas, kangaroos and emus living wild within this extinct volcanic crater. After visiting the most livable town in the world, Port Fairy, leave the coast and drive north towards the Grampians National Park. Your accommodation is at the foot of Mt Sturgeon staying and eating at the multi award winning Royal Mail Hotel in Dunkeld.

Day 3 starts with an incredibly scenic drive along the Wonderland and Mt William Ranges through to Halls Gap in the heart of the Grampians National Park. Included are a few short walks at Baroka Lookout, Reid’s Lookout and McKenzie Falls as well as visits to ‘Brambuk’ Aboriginal cultural center and a rock art site ‘Bunjil’s Shelter’.

The journey back to Melbourne takes you through the gold mining township of Ballarat, once one of the richest towns in the world. Your tour then concludes in Melbourne at approximately 6pm.
